This is my first experiment with felting wool. I found the yarn and pattern in my local Lidl and couldn’t resist the bargain, plus the colour is so lovely. Anyway, here is my new handbag!
This is quite simple to put together. You only have to knit the two panel and a (very) long piece for the strap. Once everything is assembled, it goes in the washing machine at 60 degrees and here you go. It is expected to shrink by about a third in the washing machine.
When I first saw the result I was so excited I thought I would add some decorations. But it turns out the colour is so lovely I feel any addition could ruin the whole thing. I may add some inner pockets for my mobile and stuff though. What do you think?
